MD/MS course

The BHU has invited applications for its postgraduate medical entrance examination to be held on February 21, 2010 at Varanasi for admission to MD/ MS courses. Those who have passed MBBS degree recognised by the Medical Council of India and completed one-year compulsory internship on or before April 30, 2010 can apply.

Application forms and other details can be downloaded from the websites www.bhu.ac.in, www.imsbhu.nic.in.

The filled-in application along with all required documents should be sent to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi-221005 so as to reach the addressee on or before January 9, 2010.

A demand draft of Rs.1,600 drawn on a nationalised bank and payable at Varanasi in favour of Director IMS, BHU should be enclosed along with the application.

Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam 2010

Amrita Vishwa Vidya Peetham has invited applications for engineering entrance examination to be held on May 2, 2010 across the country for admission to B.Tech. programmes being offered at the Amrita School of Engineering in Amritapuri (Kollam), Bangalore and Coimbatore. Disciplines available for engineering courses are aerospace, civil, chemical, computer science, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, electronics and instrumentation and mechanical engineering.

Eligibility

A pass in Plus Two/ equivalent examination with 60 per cent marks separately in mathematics, physics and chemistry or a three-year diploma in engineering with a minimum 60 per cent marks is needed. Those who are appearing for the final year qualifying exam in April/ May 2010 are also eligible to apply.

How to apply

Application form and prospectus can be obtained from December 21 onwards from any of the Amrita School of Engineering colleges at Amritapuri, Bangalore, Coimbatore on payment of Rs.850 by demand draft drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore or from the selected branches of Axis Bank, Dhnalakshmi Bank and State Bank of Hyderabad functioning at Kerala.

To receive application by post, write to the admission coordinator in any of the campuses mentioned below with a demand draft for Rs.850 drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.
