BHU entrance
The Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi, under the Banaras Hindu University has invited applications for its All India level entrance examination (PMT 2010 screening and main) for admission to MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ B.Pharm. courses.
The PMT 2010 screening shall be held on May 12, 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centres to screen candidates eligible to appear for the PMT 2010 main examination for MBBS course. The main exam will be held on June 13, 2010 at Varanasi only. For BDS/ BAMS/ B.Pharm. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT 2010 screening test.
Eligibility:
A pass in Plus Two or equivalent examination with 50 per cent marks in English, physics, chemistry and biology taken together for admission to MBBS. BDS/ BAMS programmes. For B.Pharm. course a minimum of 60 per cent marks in the qualifying exam is needed.
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age. Their age should not exceed 25 years as on December 31, 2010.
How to apply?
Application forms and information brochure can be obtained by post on sending a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs.1,200 drawn from a nationalised bank in favour of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, payable at Varanasi before February 19, 2010. Candidates must include two self-addressed envelopes (10 X6 cm) also with the request.
The last date for receipt of filled in applications is March 9, 2010.
